AMERICAN WAR CRIMES

Contributed by steeleyes on Tuesday, 2nd March 2004 @ 09:14:03 AM in AEST
Topic: political

More and more die in Iraq
All the result of illegal attack
Their blood splattered on the street
Decapitated heads and feet

All this the result of arrogant men
All this the result of an illegal war
Bush and Blair have brought this on
All based on lies we fought for

Death on every side is the result
Chaos and mayhem, kidnapping, fear
Look what the “great” coalition did
With such an arrogant sneer

Bush and Cheney, Blair and Straw
Powell and Rice and so many more
Told so many lies, so easy and sure
Said all was certain and they had the cure

Well look again at this sorry land
Created by manipulation so underhand
500,000 Iraqi kids by sanctions dead
10,000 civilians slaughtered blood splattered red

10,000 conscripts butchered like cattle
By a high tech army in turkey-shoot battle
Now generations to come are to live in fear
What a fine “democracy” the US brought here

Let no one tell you this was honourable and good
Ask the troops returning to your neighbourhood
This could have been handled through the use of law
America is guilty of war crimes while Iraqi blood runs raw

BBC - Tuesday 2 March 2004

Scores killed in Iraq Shia blasts

The wounded were carried on makeshift stretchers
As many as 100 people have been killed in blasts targeting Iraqi Shias as they celebrated one of their holiest days in the cities of Karbala and Baghdad.

I've been very angry for awhile now because of all the corruption that has led to this war. It is imperative that there are people like you sending knowledge out to the public in whatever way they can. Good job.

Where does your knowledge of this war come from? Are you a soldier that has been stuck in this war? Are you a reporter that chose to cover this war? Please tell me where you get your knowledge of the war or is it just what you have viewed from TV and have an opinion on?
