Why do we forgive?
When all they do is hurt us all over again and then they say “I’m sorry”.
Trying to manipulate your intelligence and you know that they are sorry!
And now that they have admitted to this vile crime this is when you want them to apologize to you!
But they don’t!
Because they don’t feel bad.
Because now they know that they don’t have your love or trust.
They can’t use you anymore and now at this precise moment they realize that now you know this.
In addition to that they have hurt you and now you will not, can not, and simply refuse, to forgive them just once more

Forgiving is what the Lord tells us to do. Many times it is so hard to do or to understand why we should. I know how you feel about this.
