These words, they stumble, they slip
From my lips they drip
Harsh and raspy, barely heard
Nothing here are we assured
Please don’t leave and walk away
Please don’t pause, please don’t stay
Sweet candy poison for which I long
You shouldn’t be so wrong
Blinded by complete trust
I didn’t see your growing lust
Hold me and tell me it will be okay
You hurt me so please stay away
Goodbye is how it must be
Or, from this sin you’ll never be free
