LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFULL TREE

Contributed by emystar on Monday, 1st March 2004 @ 02:30:11 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

When doubts infest my soul
thunder around me rolls,
Look at that tree! Oh yes,
Father God I trust thee.

Leaves come dancing down
when fall comes around.
Silently it sleeps in Winter snow
then in Spring it starts to grow.

Little buds form in sun-n-rain,
all little tidbits of lifes window pain.
Sturdy leaves come brand new
kissed in drops of morning dew.

Now Father you nurish that tree
for the hardest of hearts to see.
What's not to trust in you?
You amaze me in all you do.

In the house I grew up in there were two huge oak trees that I spent hundreds of hours playing under in the shade in the summer. I played with the acorns from those trees and delighted in the squirrels that lived in the trees and would chatter at me. I told all my secrets to those trees. They were true friends. The house is gone but the trees are still here and I still delight in their beauty. I love this write of yours. Such beautiful memories.

Hugs,
Rita
