I am but a vagabond,
Left to my own masochistic devices,
I have wandered far,
I have witnessed much,
I am weary.
I long to sleep in the saftey of numbers,
To no longer crave the precariousness of the dark goddess night and her spellbinding cloak of ambient starlight.
I long to see no more, the doddering sun sitting feebly in the cornflower sky, imparting
his antiquated wisdom for the ears of simple
timeworn pilgrims to tired to resist his bewitching ramblings.
I long for rest.
I am the silent apparition destined to roam,
unheeded by the vigilant eye of known creation.
My voice is like that of the soft whispering wind, comley and pleasant, never revealing the harsh sarcasm and bitter coldness of my jaded existance.
I wish for temperance.
I am a vagabond journeyman.
I am weary,
I have witnessed much,
I weather masochistic storms,
I must travel on.
I am weary,
Oh so weary.

Hmmmm...this gets points just for being unique. Excellent word usage throughout, as well. I enjoy the unmistakable style you present in every one of your poems, and this is right near the top of the list.
Truly,
-V.S. |
