Della Maria Linton: A Mother Like No Other

Contributed by InteruptedFate on Sunday, 29th February 2004 @ 08:14:03 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Rubies are Red
Sapphires are Blue,
There’s no other Mother
More Splendid than You.

Through my two eyes
And my siblings alike,
You’re a Glorious Star
Shining Brilliant and Bright.

You’re Kind and you’re Patience
You’re Giving and Caring,
You taught us Forgiveness
And the Joy we get in Sharing.

When we were little Kiddies
We looked at you with Awe,
We grew into our teenage years
And thought we knew it all.

We stepped into our Twenties
To start our Personal Quest,
You stood and watched and prayed to God
That we would do our best!

The Thrilling Thirties Trickled
With Fears to Overcome,
Tumbleweeds to Triumphs
You were there for everyone.

Fantastic Forties in Full Swing
When all the Bells begin to Ring,
With Loving Lessons you convey
Throughout our Lives and Still Today.

In all of Life’s Tests
We find ourselves blessed,
For God made no other
Like you OUR MOTHER!!!

A beautifully written poem, and so true, if it wasnt for my mother I wouldnt be here to face the trials of life, and she is always a phone call away when everything goes awry,
Excellent poetry, an awesome topic, and a talented writer.
Take care.
