Rot

Contributed by MorbidMongrel on Sunday, 29th February 2004 @ 05:14:26 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

You left me to rot
Left me to decay
Left me to die...

Abandoned me in my time of need
Dulled my senses
Confused my mind

Vultures
Swooping and pecking at me
Sent by you...

You wanted me to hate you
To despise you
So I would move on

Well I've never moved on
Grown closer
Accept your own failure

If I died
Then I've been reanimated
To torment your mistake

You hurt me
Broke me
Burned me
Lacerated me
Couldn't you have just told me the truth?
What was really going on?
Instead of killing who I was?

Remember that girl that I broke
Your actions incurred this
Despite your disapproval

The student is rebelling
You, the teacher
Must move on

Remember what you did
When the time comes
To tell someone else to move on.......................
