NO MORE

Contributed by desire on Sunday, 29th February 2004 @ 10:40:45 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I close my eyes and no longer see,
all the ghost that use to haunt me.
all the pictures that use to play in my head,
are replaced with hopes for the future instead.
no longer dwelling on what happened to me,
no more wondering if i will ever be free.
no more sadness no more tears,
no more pain from all the dark years.
no more deep secrets to keep hid,
no more suppressed anger making me blow my lid.
no more unfeeling heart, set against love,
no more i shoulda, coulda, or if i would of,
just positive thoughts that make me strong,
no more feeling like my life has gone wrong.
and i look forward to everyday with a smile,
because getting to this place emotionally has taken awhile.
through this i learned something about self love,
that it comes by the grace of God above.
i reached out to him and he took my pain,
and let me know that with love i have much more to gain.
we are still Gods children learning our way,
prone to mistakes on any given day.
someone's life is always far more tragic than yours could ever be,
and that is a fact of life, i keep with me.
these are things that IM learning from the healing IM going through,
and i wanted to share them with you.

I voted and gave you a 5, because this is seriously a great poem. You placed the words in a wonderful way. This poem explains emotions that many people feel.
Thanks for sharing!

I can't help but agree with Waynster that this is wonderful.. with words placed in the right places just like Ford knew where to place his Bolts and Nuts in his T-model of the 1920s. You create a good effect with yopur poems Desire. You heat the nail at the head and tackle the bull by the horn and that kind of makes you outstanding... and hei ur line lenghts appear patterned at a point and at another it stretches right into my faces as though you meant to pass the message right into me, yet in my opinion it distorts the beauty of your lenght line pattern.. but I know you well to know you better when it comes to ur style... you aren't confused after all any may think... your thoughts are homogenious with your theme, but contrasts the phyusical appearance of the piece u have written... this makes u really a true desire for this site. I know u were lead on here by your mind and I can see what ur mind is doing to all of us... this poem preaches to us and talks to us about u.. I can hear it and I can feel it... and just like when u let that fear go... this one is already bound. I love this verse and I will love it put into a song someday.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
