A Day In The Life Of

Topic: FamilyPoems

Ssssh, don’t wake Daddy up,
Come on, leave Daddy alone,
Go put that in your bedroom please,
Did you move this?
Don’t touch that,
Are you going to get washed and dressed now?
Go and have a wash and brush your teeth,
Here’s your clothes,
Can you wash and get dressed please?
Can you go and have a wash and clean your teeth please?
Can you go and have a wash and clean your teeth?
Don’t go in there with your dirty feet
Keep still,
Don’t pull the blind,
Go downstairs now please,
Step back from the telly,
Step back from the telly, please,
That’s not good to eat,
Don’t get all those out .....

..... Because it will be hard to put them back.

Careful, don’t get those on the sofa,
Careful!
Put them back neatly.

Don’t push me over!

I’m just about to spray,
So will you go out of the room for a minute?

Please don’t walk on those chairs,
You’ve got dirty feet.

Ouch, that really hurt,
Why do you have to fling things on strings around?
See this?
It’s going to get caught round your neck and really hurt you.

You can’t be hungry again.

Look at the mess you’ve .....
..... What is it with you?

Don’t bring that up here,
Can you play on your own just for a little while?

Don’t get everything out,
Hold it!
Hold it now!
Don’t get everything out,
Come on, out the way please,
Don’t get everything out,
Come on, out the way,
Don’t touch anything in there, mate,
Don’t go getting everything out now,
Leave that!

Now you know when you come out of there,
You’ve got to wash your hands, right?
It’s not good to touch things like that, mate.

Hang on, hang on, what’s your plan?
Don’t take everything out,
What’s that?
What have you got there?
Well, don’t bring everything outside,
Stop pulling it .....
..... so I can undo it,
Hold it,
don’t get everything out of there now,
Before you get everything out .....
..... Put whatever you were playing with back in,
Agreed?

Don’t come near the patio .....
..... Because if you fall you’ll hurt your head,

Don’t dig the lawn up.

Aaaaarrrggh!!!

You can see I’m tidying up!
Just leave things alone please.

Wash you snotty nose.

You’re a funny boy.

Are you ready for stories?
Time to snuggle up,
Let’s have a huggle,
Love you, buddy,
love you,

Give us a kiss,
That’s nice,
You did a good job tidying up the garden today, mate,
Love you,
Night night,
Sleep tight,
Love you, buddy,
You've been a good boy today,
You're the best little boy in all the world,
Love you.

Oh Karl, how many of these days in my life have I had with my little men? Enjoy everyone for they grow much too fast. Every sticky kiss and every little child hug is so very precious. Patience, for they are still a work in progress.

Hello Karl, Rita put me on to your site so I'm starting at the bottom and working up your list

I did enoy this a great deal, took me back 70 years. One phrase jumped right out of the page "STAND STILL" OH boy did I here that more than a few times.

I have not seen better than this on YPDC. Different, as good as, but not better than............... (but you don't need me to tell you do you?)
