Late one night,
I awake
To find you there,
not a dream.
I close my eyes;
lay and think,
of how much
I love you so.
I open my eyes
and see yours.
So crystal blue;
deep and telling.
They remind me of
the eyes of
a fallen angel.
For that is what you are.
Cast from Heaven
For refusing to bow
to another's will,
other than your own.
For wanting what
you could not have;
But went against,
and got it anyway.
Even as you gaze
at me now,
I can see how
you feel inside.
You truely feel
that falling from Heaven
was worth having me.
All for your own.
So we recreate
our own Heaven
right here,
right now.
As you peer down at me,
I am glad that you
took the fall to be
here with me now.
You are mine.
My Fallen Angel,
here to bring us both
a little taste of Heaven.
