Grief
|
You built these walls,
That surround my soul,
Im locked inside,
With silver and gold.
I dug myself deep,
Into this hole,
Where you built these walls,
That surround my soul.
I used to see love,
Inside your green eyes,
But now it is dead,
And I'm barely alive.
Feeling at lost,
And out of control,
You built these walls,
that surround my soul.
I don't need you to,
Buy me pretty things,
I don't want this love,
Or your diamond rings.
Youve locked me inside,
My bloods turning cold,
You built these walls,
That surround my soul.
I've tryed getting out,
And running away,
In hopes that you,
Would always stay.
You followed me,
And tracked me down,
You locked me inside,
And I can't get out.
I just want to be free,
Get me out of this hole,
You built these walls,
That surround my soul.

I love this one! It speaks so clearly and painted such a vivid picture in my mind. Of course, that may be because I've been there before. Anywho! It's a great write!

Ohhhh such a deliciously tragic poem you've written here!!! It can be interepretated in so many ways to, you capture the sense of entrapment and feelings of helplessness wonderfully!!! |
