What if I had never broken that window?
Something else would have broken
Something far worse...
What if I had never accepted that invitation on that fated day?
I would have never reached out
Saw what I was missing
What if I wasn't the lookout that night...
We would have been busted
Thrown away without care
What if I had never asked her who she had fallen in love with?
We'd still be friends
And me, oblivious to it all
What if I had never driven him home to get his waiver?
My car would be saved
Never in disrepair
What if I had become what I dreamt?
I would be a statistic
A swinging body on a fan's blade
