Paradise can be a place of contentment
Or a place that allows the chaos of life
to turn into serenity.
My paradise is that place where
I have a sense of fulfillment
The gentle breeze caresses my skin
as I softly close my eyes.
The sun's warmth engulfs me,
As I feel the dampness of the dew
from the grass beneath my feet.
The scent of Vanilla and Jasmine fills the air
The refreshing taste of the natural spring
brings me that much closer
to my connection with the earth.
This is my paradise. What is yours?

In two short poems you have made me think more than all the others I've read put together.
I've just realised that contentment is a very fleeting moment and requires deliberate action (or more accurately, innaction) to sustain.
I can only liken it to sailing. which is a constant challenge, but every now and then
one has to put into shelter from the adverse wind and tide.
The anchor is dropped the sails are furled for couple of hours serenity until the tide turns.
