The ringing of the phone has stopped.
No one said goodnight.
The sun has set, the moon is full.
No one said goodnight.
Dreams are rising in my head,
Its almost time to go to bed.
No one said goodnight.
The minutes are passing,
Its almost eight.
The hours are passing,
Its getting late.
No one said goodnight.
I'm so tired, but i can't sleep.
Missing you has made me so weak.
I think I know what'll help me drift away...
Come back to me, so i can hear you say,
Goodnight.

Very good. I like the way you made it meaningful with the last two lines.

the poem running so softly and smooth, yet very touching..... it is just a innocent little request from your heart, and what a shame you can not even have that fulfilled....... what a shame...... good night girly, tomorrow will be a better day...... |
