Twisted and rotting,
the ways I feel right now,
crumbling, falling,
straight into the faces
of all that I despise,
all that I despair over.
Sorrow traps me,
gobbles up my heart,
rips away my smiles,
induces all my tears.
A cloud stretches across,
way above,
right atop my head.
What's my fight for?
To educate the ignorant,
to change a mind or two.
I often wish to be
one of the people
looking to the sea,
oblivious to life,
unmoved by truth.
