I feel a cyanide butterfly in my stomach she said
Was it something she felt or was it just me
All her radiance I felt spoonfed
And wanted the poison to pass
From her lips into me
Lets build a playful ground of promises
Growing empty flowers for you and us
Feeding them usual broken words
Cover it with soiled past trust
Cyanide butterfly
She doesn't land on dirt
You're tired and I'm draining
You would be pulled into me
I would drain you if I could
Leave you in a chipped glass jar
For only my eyes to see
Hiding in the darkest shadows
Unspeakable truths of the uneasy and afraid
This stuck feeling flow
That your sympathy unmade
Cyanide butterfly
In your stomach
Feeding my love
I want to clip your wings
So grounded and helpless
I'll be there for you
Leaving me split apart
Like cyanide
In your uncaring heart
Your poison core
Bringing me back for more

Oh this is good. It possesses all the beauty and darkness of an addictive relationship.
Nice work.
