Behind These Eyes

Contributed by Vitreous_Soul on Saturday, 28th February 2004 @ 05:23:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

As gateways bright, so crystalline
Reveal the radiance within
I fall into luminous eyes
Behold purity's Gemini

Transfix my heart, deep your gaze went
You see me true, as transparent
Through windows clear, a sincere stare
Felicity to drown despair

Infused with strength, resolve and thole
Past lucid glims you view my soul
Through turbid thoughts, read and discern
While seconds pass the pages turn

Look past the shield, within the wraith
In emptiness enshrine your faith
Beyond the bale long exiled
Tattered remnants, a crying child

Sealed inside a transpicious sphere
'Neath sullen thoughts, mem'ries austere
Diffracting eyes hide sundered glass
Mesmeric stare to reave the past

You saw beyond the leaden veil
Beneath a heart that time assailed
Glass fragments barbed in solitude
Shred the love i'd longed to exude

Yet past the walls i'd cast in stone
You eased my mind, my soul's agon
In broken shards you found no flaw
Love restored a fractured jigsaw

Moment's time, eternity's tear
You bring the sun through windows clear
An angels gaze to mesmerise
You are the light behind these eyes

As usual, the poetic majesty of unworldly ideas has blown us all away with another peice of originality. Your romantic poems are unparalled by any poet I've seen, and this is one of your many masterpeices. You said you were jealous of my way with words; well, I'm far more envious of your idyllic ideas.

Breathtakingly done.

*mouth drops, eyes widen tongue unravels out...* My god dan this was astounding your command of the wording in this write is amazing, you have brought me to shame, i stand humbly at your pen in awe of perfection
The imagery is a spectacle of illuminous perfection seen through the eyes of an angel, the structure could hold up the world, the rhyme scheme could chant of tribes, and the flow.. runs like water througha moutain stream.
Wonderful truely wonderful piece

Luke

I quit. My green pen passes on to you, for my fingers are too numb to write again.

This was an amazing use of words, VS. I don't know how you do it; teach me!

I am unwoooorthy...

Keep writing,
-Eve.
