Normally Deranged

Normally Deranged

You should learn to stay away,
I’ll only cause you pain.
Even if you like me first,
you will come to hate me.

I cannot say
precisely what happens,
and do not ask why,
but something changes to make you want to cry.

If I were someone
looking in, I suppose I’d say,
that on the outside I am normal,
but then you go into my mind,
see what lies inside,
you notice just how strange I am,
my thoughts are really twisted.
They scare you and alarm you,
my morals disturbing.
You try to run away,
but I won’t let you go.
I try to say I’m sorry,
but my emotions are too deranged.
And when I finally let you leave,
I make your life a living hell,
revenge is all I think.

Perhaps this is why
people shrink away.
They see through the normality,
and see the darkness inside.

I feel sorry for you. I wish I could help. I've heard it said: - you are half way to the cure when you recognize, and admit the problem. Yet, "vengence is mine, saith the Lord." Luke 18:13" God be merciful to me A SINNER"
God Bless

Lionel

You seem as "normal" as the rest of us on here. You will fit right in. Welcome to the site. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Welcome to YPDC. We've all got dark stuff inside of us. Writing can be a great way to vent. I thought your poem was well constructed, expressed well and like Mercedes said you'll fit right in. I look forward to your next post. Kie

great work. and we are all a lil deranged inside, even if we wont admit it, or are innocently unaware. Your no more deranged or crazy then the rest of the world. 'to be crazy, is to be messed up in the head, which is normal for humans...its okay, dont worry, your DEFINTLY not alone.' that is just a lil quote i made up, but its not half bad!? Take me for example; i am way beyond crazy n deranged. i don't know if there is a word for it?! (as you can see, i am having fun with the HTML) lol,anyways...good job, nice write.
