( For Jason, who was even there when he couldn't be)
We are just friends, but we'll never be more
Yet I keep feeling this emotion, I never felt before.
It started down low, then it began to rise
I wanted to hide, but I couldn't disguise.
This feeling I had that was so consuming
That I felt you already loved me, but that was assuming.
Though you told me once, That you did care for me
You helped my spirit by making me see.
That not only is love shared by lovers, until the end.
But it can also be shared by your best friend.
