Routine
Giving a bland hint
To even the sweetest sugar
A stale taste
A flat note
Ruining the most beautiful melody
A separation from the rest
A sour word
To spoil a delicious meal
Forever remembered
As the moment of truth
The covers thrown off
There lies the naked truth
Not always pleasing
Yet pleasing
In that raw openness
The sweetest part
Of the sticky fluff
One little cluster
In the mass of it all
A clump crystalized
Hardened
Ugly
Stale sugar
Lingering
Forever long after
The appeasing

Nicely done. It's the mark of real poetry to be able to turn the average, the ordinary, the insignificant, the ugly, into beauty and significance. You did that very nicely here: I'm impressed. I'll be sure to check out more of your work in the future.

I must say! How impressive! I will never look at such a seemingly ordinary object in the same light again. Bravo and encore!
