Waking at night with creatures

Contributed by geoffreyalanbest on Thursday, 26th February 2004 @ 12:20:42 PM in AEST
Topic: insomniac

Late one night did it come upon me that the hour was turning fast and I was still without rest. My eyes did not grow heavy only to allude at the possible shapes in the dark. Lying awake upon my hold, I did not know what the night was to behold. Behind the shadows lay something else or perhaps many more things then would be without.
Later that night they became as real as you or I. There eyes were of ideas that made me wake under my bed sheets which was a stake. The Night was young but it had a disease which meant I would not be fit till it came to pass and that the night was old and I was asleep. It did not happen because of the rapping. The Rapping that turn to tapping and slapping up above me. Heart and mind started to see more then maybe there was to be.
Later that night out of fear and of blight I came upon a notion that was simple to my commotion The ideas that kept me awake were creatures that fed and bleed and also said things that made alert in the night. There was one that was cold and lonely and called me to come and spread my mind beyond the bed where I lie. One made mad dashes beside my door while tracking and yakking to see me a saddened.
Later and later they plotted things around which they could keep me alert. They had a desire which hung to the waking and died with the snoring. One lurked close to my ear and said things about deadlines and headlines that were near. "Not much time of day there is and the night remains ever so quiet, give it a go and much will be profit". One landed on my chest and started hissing of old times and old memories that needed rehashing. "Night is so bright when one comes to sight, look around and profound and your eyes awaking"
Later even still more little creatures gathered and grumbled that yet I have to be more then I could ever see. That brought doubts and notions that I was not so sparkling. "I have now to be so found that one ever goes on because you may never be greater then thy". Creatures coming now were for the meek and shy. They told me things that could never be and how I was he that could never see. Then came the one very uncomfortable the scum. Marking his way he lurked with his order that maybe I should shudder. Then with a bark he did sound his mark. Ring want the alarm and god damn because I am found. To get up when one has never truly lied down is difficult in deed.
Later was now earlier and the sky did not agree with my sense within side me. It was dust and I was awake not of early but of late. My eyes did not shake for I certainly did wake. I may now be able to lie my head down and maybe just maybe I could be sound. But, The hour was nigh and I was so shy. I should go and do the daily things that one does do and then I should be so rude. When I have done I shall have so much fun diving into bed with a head over the edge. The day want by and I was so high. I did not take anything but a few dosages of caffeine in the form of cups.
Later that day when only half I wad done I fell so slum and I almost had to run. Run to bed with a jittery fled and lurk no more among creatures that do no not snore. I shall conquer the bed and make it my sted. My day's delights did take their flight and as high as the sky I did fly. In between pillows and blankets, I lied again as I was waiting the end to begin. Then there was a stir and somewhat of a blur. Soon enough stood before me a creature that made its way. "Ah tonight you sleep without a little peep but again we shall meet when eyes begin their fleet"
Later upon another midnight lying I was awake with my staring and then the creatures came daring.
