Walking down Hollywood Boulevard, some thoughts on love

Walking down Hollywood Boulevard, some thoughts on love

I love a girl with the same first name as a famous star

Guess there’s a lot of people out there
With that name, too

But she and me, we know best
She and me, we’re true

Love

She and me
Walking down thru the Park to see the Bridge shine

And the laser show takes my breath away
I hear you sing a little song to the light in the sky

I hold you so close, because I love that perfume
So much it stills my heart

Love

She and me
Almost met the other night

And I just hope I’m not a disappointment
I just hope I make you smile and remember

The good times
The times you had with him
The times you were lonely and watching Annie Hall to fit in

Love

Oh, give me a chorus with something to sing for,
Give me a movie where the people talk and talk

I want to date Christina Aguilera
I want to be a bad guy
I want to be a poster on the wall
I want to be part of someone else’s Reality

Love

I’m almost virtual these days
With a heart, all blue and pink

I love a girl with the same first name as a famous star

Guess there’s a lot of people out there
With that name, too

But she and me, we know best
She and me, we’re true

She and me
Walking down thru the Park to see the Bridge shine

Love

And the laser show takes my breath away
I hear you sing a little song to the light in the sky

I hold you so close, because I love that perfume
So much it stills my heart

Love

She and me
Almost met the other night

I can’t decide if orange is my favorite color
Or if that’s because it was Frank Sinatra’s

Does it matter?
I guess it doesn’t

But it’s nice to know you made your mind up yourself
It’s nice to make your mind up for yourself

Love

I’ve been alone for a while now
I’ve changed, all by myself, that’s what I had time to do

Love

Don’t even know if true love is what I want anymore,
Don’t know if true love is what I want anymore

But I love a girl with the same first name as a famous star

Love

I had so much hope in the start
I had the dream in my hands

But it all costs feelings
It all costs feelings

Love

I gave and gave, so damn much
And yeah, she gave to me

Love

Everybody’s equal in these eyes
Even the faithless are part of the machine

But I love a girl with the same first name as a famous star
I love a girl with the same first name as a famous star

Love

I wish it was all simple
I wish life was kind

I wish we were thirteen and had growing up to do
But we’re thirty

Love

And its bad
Because we’re all grown up already

And life is what you make of it
Even I know that, and I’m not even wise

Love

I wish I could give in and make it alright
I wish I could give you more time

Love

I’m not alright
I’m not alright

Maybe tomorrow I’ll stop this heart
From singing songs all night

But I don’t want to forget

Love

I don’t want to forget

Love

I don’t want to forget

Love

(D.J.Finn, 2004)
