Tracey's Angel

Topic: MiscPoems

I took you for a walk in the park
holding your hand as you listened
to the laughter of the kids
playing to our right
we talked about the weather
and how this morning..
your dad's car wouldnt start
we talked of how we felt of nature
among other things in our hearts
we talked about your mum
and how she sings you songs
we talked about all the wars going on
and how we felt it was wrong
we touched on sadness
and we also touched on life
we touched on wordly issues
we touched on local strife
we had a laugh about jokes
some i did not even get
we talked about our neighbours
and the first time that we met
we got into abortion
we talked about marriage
we talked about babies
we briefly touched on miscarriage
we talked about love
and one day finding "The One"
we talked about the coldness of winter rain
and the beauty of the summer sun
we talked about art
as I made pictures out of clouds
which lay so still above us
sitting in their shrouds
we talked about god
phrophecies and religion
we talked about history
we touched on the angels in heaven
"Speaking of angels" You say
You ask: "May i touch your face?"
you ran your fingers down my closed eyes
..every line you traced.
You started to cry...
as your fingers reached my smile
asking: "Why must i be blind?..
For there is so much beauty in this world..
and even after all this time..
I wont have that chance
so if you dont mind..
I will sit here and touch your face
since this beauty is all I can seem to find"

This was an amazing piece! I read it, and thought it was just another girl you were speaking to, until you had an aamazing climax with, "Why must i be blind?..

It is funny how, even the smallest lines, can mean so very much to the poet.

Poetic Dreams Always,
Jazz
