Civilians on TV
Talking about how the war is not over
Bin Laden has not been found
And so it rages on
I’m so tired of hearing
Civilians supporting the war
In Iraq
It’s easy to support the war
When you don’t have to be there
It’s easy to say we should be there
When it’s not your friend risking their life
I’m tired of hearing about the war on terror
The one that I’ve already been a part of
I’m tired of hearing about
Getting sent out again
For now let me pretend
That there is no war
Let me pretend that it’s 1999
All over again
Let me pretend that everything’s ok
And that I don’t have to worry about bin Laden
Let me smile and laugh again
Let me be carefree for a little while
Instead of asking me to fight for freedom
Please just let my soul be free
Free for just a little while
With no worries
Later I can go back to thinking
About fighting in the war
But for now will someone please
Shut off the ***** Fox News Channel?!
