Now What?

Contributed by ginsdance on Tuesday, 10th September 2002 @ 07:52:19 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I know now as I write this,
That it will never reach your eyes,
You'll never know how much I miss
All our bluer skies.
Why was one fight all it took
To kill all of our pride?
Our pride in each other, in our friendship,
Until now, I'm not sure what is true, and what is lies.
I can't even bear to face you,
I pass by you in the halls,
I talk to everyone that is right beside you,
But I don't trust myself to speak to you at all.
You know that I am way to stubborn
To back down, and I know that you are too,
So the question left in our friendship,
Is, "Now what do we do?"

ok...i read all three poems u just posted and if i'm getting this right, u and ur guy best-friend ended up together at some point and now things r awkward or something and u aren't friends becuase of that. if i misread any of this feel free to ignore me. :-)

i was in the same situation about a year ago with my best friend. he was for a long time the love of my life and he is still my standard for all other guys that walk in and out of my life. anyways, my point is, that we got in a bunch of fights and things were unbelievably awkward between us for awhile. we ended up making up and we both realized that nothing was worth throwing the friendship away between us. if u and this guy are really close, that friendship will always be there. it just takes one of u to drop ur stubborness and also be very patient with the other. for me, it was easier because my friend was so understanding with me and put up with a lot of my bull*****. but in your case, if he's gonna be stubborn too, ur gonna have to be the one to try and fix things.

ok...hopefully this sort of helps. just talk to him. if u keep ignoring him it'll just push u guys further apart and u will always regret that. good luck!

jen :-)

Wow! Gin, you just described my situation exactly! You were dead on... it's a little freaky to be honest. I know what I'm gonna do though...

Excellent!
