I hear you are a volunteer,
I'd rather give up drinking beer,
Should I go and be a dupe?
If someone's pocket, one will scoop.
The scoop consists of all my pay,
I'd have gotten any day,
With wages that could hit the sky
We act like clods.... you and I.
The salaries that the top guys get,
My appetite it'd surely whet,
They don't know more than volunteers,
They're merely able to get you dears.
The next time someone says you work,
without a wage or even perk,
Tell them gently as you can,
"Go get some other stupid man."
No, I didn't forget you girls,
You're just as prone to get in swirls,
If top guys say, "A worthy Cause",
You can answer, "Applesauce".

Two smiles in one day. You are over your quota, Norm.

Shame, shame, shame on you. As long as you can see for yourself that the gift of time you loving give is going to where it is meant to go, I say GIVE!! I work with autistic children and I know I make a difference. I work with the elderly and I can see and hear I make a difference. If you have the time, give of yourself. The rewards are far greater than money could ever be.

Dear Norm,
What an interesting poem you set
I'll bet you have had a bad experience let.
You know I volunteer for lots of different things
Why would you be against helping if you can?
Please write us another poem and tell us why? I'd really like to know by, and by?
