Happiness is what overtakes me
when I am with you,
in your arms.

When I look into your eyes,
run my fingers through your hair,
tickle you, tease you-
the smile never leaves my face.

No matter how the day has been,
my time spent with you
is never a waste,
never a bore-
it's a comfort and joy,
something there isn't enough of.

The once barren spaces
inside my heart
are now ripe with your love,
your sweet remarks.

For as long as I'm with you,
the smile on my lips is permanent
and cannot be erased.
