I can’t take anymore!
Although it’s all my fault
My sin is at the core
All happiness it does halt
I’m trying to stay calm
But, so much is going wrong
For this hurt, there’s no balm
For in me, it must belong
My pain, I can accept
But the pain I’ve caused others
Has proved my heart inept
And for it, I must suffer
For every mistake I’ve made
I’ve passed the pain along
For the price others have paid
My suffering, must surely be long
Every pain I’ve caused
Should be repaid to me in kind
If, for thought, I’d only paused
To other’s hearts, I may not have been blind
I wish I could close my eyes
And find, when I awaken
The nightmares to be lies
And my heart not forsaken
For me, it’s too late
I hope the others can heal
All I can do is wait
And pray, no more pain will they feel
For in me, they did trust
And I caused them all dismay
Their payment’s been unjust
It was never their debt to pay

A very good, well rhymed poem. And all isn't lost; the writer feels remorse, and thats a good sign. God Bless |
