My Anchor

Contributed by lil_angel on Wednesday, 25th February 2004 @ 04:11:46 AM in AEST
Topic: insomniac

Some times I just want to quit the race
To quit running
To lay down in the middle of the track
Then I see your smiling face
I hear your gentle words

I don’t have it in me to fight anymore
I don’t want to quit
I don’t want to disappoint you
I don’t know what to do or what to say
I don’t want to lose this battle

I need something to hold on to
I need to see your smiling face
I need to hear your encouraging voice
I need you too much for words
I need you more than the air I breathe

It’s almost 12 am this shall pass
You helped me
You were there
I made it this time and will make it the next
For I know you need me too

As the clock flips over
Smile is back in place
Does it really belong there I do not know
But there it is and there it stays
Till the next time that I will need you again!
