MY HOUSE OF MANY WINDOWS

Contributed by lovingcritters on Tuesday, 24th February 2004 @ 10:25:42 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

From my house of many windows,
I pray....
Please help me to always see....
The very best in others, hoping they
too, will see the good in me.
Help me always keep my windows wide
open to sunshine.
Never closing my shutters to bad,
missing others loving align.

Please teach me each day, to find a way,
to be kind and loving.
Touching a hurting heart, with your warmth
comforting it's bleating.
Growing old graciously with You,
is such a rewarding gift.
Without Your oars of guidance,
I'd be set adrift!

As old houses begin to show their age.
Their foundation crumbles, the frame
unsteady, upon life's stage.
Help me to be more aware, to be
thankful for everything good.
Not overlooking those unfortunate,
where once I stood!

With each new phase, your strength
I will always need!
Withered though my design,
enlarge my heart with generousity,
alleviating greed!
Oh Yes, please help me never to stop
loving, for Love is You....
Without it, I would stop loving You too!

And from my house of many windows...
as the panes become blurred with dew,
May I never lose intense feelings, help them
each day to grow anew!
Please project my thoughts toward
others as do you....
Forgetting myself, to help someone
as you always do!

May it come true, my house of many
windows built for all to view.
If you enter cold, warmth will surround you.
No ugliness can be found within it's walls.
Enter inside to see it's beauty,
even after the outside falls!

Help me always to live up to the
large sign posted in the yard.
An old house that endured life's many
struggles, hit by lightning and charred.
Survived many Blizzards, downpours,
with your help fared.
May the sign read..........
"In this house a lady lived that cared!"

"This poem was created
in memory of a dear classmate
that died today.
Bernard "Rums" Rumsey
We loved him very much
because he always cared!"

Connie, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. This poem is exquisitly beautiful. He is now an angel in God's home whilst you are still an angel on earth.

Love and hugs,
Rita

The art of the Critters Lady is Unique
------------------------------------
If we all took heed of your words of grief,
Left all of our windows open,
If we did this no matter how very brief,
It would relieve our minds to cope in...
