Silently, spinning along the wall
Conspiring to beguile her prey
Sable, with white stripes she was
Scurrying from side to side
Weaving with such diligence
A beauty being woven before my eyes
Clever, spider spins a thread
Each one adding to the trap
Capturing your breath once again
This creature which inspires fear
Constructs one of Nature’s beauties
Waiting, persistently for her meal
Without thinking, a fly soars into the trammel
Entrapping the fly with a single knap
Devouring the lifeless fly
