Reality

Contributed by JimiMcFly on Tuesday, 24th February 2004 @ 12:53:39 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Reality

Time fly’s by, clocks tick on.
You and I are lost.
Lost in time, lost in a dream,
A dream we never imagined.
In our dream: the worlds at peace.
No racist,
No wars.
Just friends.

But then were woken by reality,
A cold, cruel demon.
It grabs at you’re dreams
And tears them apart,
Bit,
By,
Bit.

And before you know it,
The dream is gone
Vanished into a world of make believe.
That seems more distant, with everyday.

One way not to be unhappy - count your blessings. I'll bet you have plenty.

nice. i like the way that you identifyed reality and the unreal-dreams. how you spoke of time goin by, while you are in a place outside of reality. then you are awoken, by reality itself, which is to some, a demon. And then your dreams are torn, 'bit by bit' .

its all true you know. alot of people spend there time dreaming, or believeing what they want to. They see only what there minds tell them. some people don't want to face reality, so they block it out. there are alot of people who should be woken up to reality. the reality of life, death, love, hate, pain, etc...

well, anyways its good. nice job. very intresting. sorry i ran on, didn't mean to...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
