falling off the pedestal

Contributed by ladyfawn on Tuesday, 24th February 2004 @ 09:22:38 AM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

staring out the window,
misty mountain day,
contemplating life,
i'm so chuffed, i turn away,
why do men always place me upon a pedestal,
only to find out i am human, am i dreaming?

rise another day, forget me,
no matter i stand tall,
living on the blue side of me,
for all to see, my pitfalls,
there's still some life inside of me,
wee bit of love to give,
to one lover who i have only met in dreams, does he live?
love has once again fluttered my sails; clipped my wings,
i'm not a statue, i'm real, i feel, yet am frozen til spring,
bleeding through my heart, will i spontaneously combust,
love left me in the dirt face down, breathing in the dust,
ahh worse; is any love worth dying for? only my curse,
i loose all my loves, so i write my soul into the universe,
am drinking apple and cinnamon tea, another love gone,
today it rains upon my life, no regrets, as i move on,
holding on to the memories, i know love is there,
where part of my soul remains, somewhere,
i rub my backside, arse hurts from the fall,

falling off the pedestal,

my friends remain,
i love them:)

Oh Sweets, you are a strong woman..one with so much love in her heart...and those who do not realise it and let you go, do not know what they have lost.
Your friends will always be there for you...
Hugs and love
Jenni

Nessa, you are a kind and loving woman. A great poetess who brings emotion in the deepest forms. I love ya, as does everyone else here. You can't help but love you! I believe that man in your dreams does exist, will you find him? I dunno. You are a treasure and he'll miss what he has given away. You deserve the best and I hope you find it. Hang in there with the rest of us. Spring is near....Kie

AwwwwwwNessa, Spring arises dear,
'tis the time of year, when most men's fancy turn to something known as love!
You didn't get left in the dust Nessa, you were
lucky......no fuss, no muss....it could have been devastatingly dreadful, dastardly, defunct.....count your blessing you found out in time......you'll find one that loves what you love, and when you do...he'll help you be YOU,
AND WON'T TRY TO CHANGE YOU! Because you are a very caring and wonderful girl......with lots of love to give.......but only to those that appreciate how good you are!
We'll always be here...never too far.....to advice, or kick you in the seat of the pants, whichever is warranted.*smiles*
Love you lots
trueblueconsue
beautiful poem!

You're so right ... when a man loves you, but loves all your faults as well, then that is true love ... one day he will come along Nessa ... and in the meantime your friends are here for you ... take care ... hugs Jan
