A DRY LAND IN A DRY MONTH

A dry land in a dry month–
grey sky, grey stone, grey sand.
Never thirsty, always thirsting
unable to remain; driven
from water to water.
We now longer dream of earth,
but of water, water afar off.
We are dryness incarnate –
Thirst that walks upright.
As we walk we see water,
water everywhere. Water afar off.
Surely the water is who we seek;
What we seek must be in the well,
the well we haven’t yet found,
The well afar off.

Ya know..I prolly wasn't supposed to..but this made me chuckle. You see...we have NO rain here all summer. You should see some of the things people do around here to try and get it to rain.... |

I can imagine. I lived 6 years in Saskatchewan -- 4 on them were near drought, the other two were just alittle dry!
Glad you got a chuckle...
