Undisturbed Peace

Contributed by CuttersAngel on Tuesday, 24th February 2004 @ 02:23:42 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

I put the liquid to my lips
And slowly take it in tiny sips
As it burns as it goes down
I stumble and fall to the ground
My life is fading, I barely breathe
Finally I can rest in undisturbed peace
My life is showing before my eyes
There were so many things I despised
I once had love, but let it go
My darkest secrets still don’t show
I have my scars from all my cuts
From all the times life was too much
And with each cut I know I escaped
The life I lived that was nothing more than fake
I was a disturbed soul lost in this world
But deep inside me lived a small little girl
I saw the ones that I thought were friends
But how foolish was I, even they came to an end
I close my eyes and disappear into the dark
My breathing stops as well as my heart
The time has come for me to leave
And I can finally rest in undisturbed peace.

I'm mesmerized by this piece... so much of it sounds like it could've come out of my own pen... it's eerie. Awesome job!!
