--------_______-----------
I wandered down into a grove
And sat beneath a tree
When from the branches up above
An insect spat at me
Such a tiny, dewy drop
Yet furious I grew
To think that any creature did
What that had dared to do
I ran away and seized an axe
Beside my cottage door
And chopped the sapling root and branch
Till hands and back were sore
This is the only way I said
My wounds to rectify
And so the insect having flown away
I left the tree to die...

lol. that's not what i call revenge - I woulda used some insect repellant, but then again, i'm far more calculating than most people, and would have worked out some convoluted plan to hire a spider to track it down . . .
anyway - i digress! This was rather amusing anecdote for the hotheaded amongst us . . . Well executed and rhymed, sir. |
