A Majority Vote

Contributed by norm on Monday, 23rd February 2004 @ 09:18:34 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Women's Sufferage..I admire,
Said I other..I'd be a liar,
A poem I wrote says God's a He,
Since then, attacks I get, poor me.

They say I'm chauvinistic bent,
God's a She, is what they sent,
I'd gladly pull offending He,
And change it to the wanted She.

But sure as He or She made apples,
I'm next will hear from angry papals,
No matter what I do I fear,
I'm going to wind up on my ear.

And yet, a solution I suggest,
Give some thought, it might be best,
Write a Bible, you can bet,
Change The Bible to The Biblette.

State therein in terms to see,
The Lord's a She and not a He,
Then I will write my poem the way,
Most of you said I should, today.

You write what you feel in your heart, not what the majority says. Writing is just exactly that, a view of the authors thoughts and beliefs. Personally I don't think God is any gender but I do believe this spiritual guide dies exist. At least it makes my life more peaceful to think so. None of us will know until we stand before the entity to begin with. What difference does it make here on earth. It only matters in our minds and souls. Excellent write, Norm.

Dear Norm,
This poem of yours is certainly controversial!
If I should state my preferance, wouldn't be
universal!
Some will say She, and others He....but really neither of those he or she could be!
There is no sex in heaven....neither man nor woman......pure thought, and that's alot...but his Book the Bible says he is He, his wonderful son call him Father, not Mother?
Guess I'll to do research and with my poem follow!
Great questioning on your part. I'll have to go find out
consue
