Dying to be loved, starving in the dark, it gets harder to breath, without you in my heart. The thought ponders my ever curious mind, sitting alone, trying to leave the past behind. I wanna know how you feel, I care very much, I want you to heal. Come rescue me, take me with you, lets flee.

Awww.... this write is such a sincere one. Makes my eyes tear up (tear as in cry, not tear as in rip, though they look the same on the monitor, eh?) I really hope things look better for you and this guy. I've felt similar stuff, and it's really hard, I'll admit...... But hang in there. It'll get better.
As for the poem, I think it's a gem.
