Tie You Up In Dreams

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Monday, 23rd February 2004 @ 06:36:34 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

I wish I could tie you up in dreams
With the threads of all my seams
Show you how it feels to want to die
And fly with you so very, very high
I wish you could see this through my eyes
All the stars in all the skies
Couldn't give me reason to live now
I want to stay with you but I can't imagine how

If I could I'd drown you in my tears
Take us both away from here
I would suffocate you with my love
Leave behind the coarse fabric I'm made of
If I could I'd unravel my soul
Set it free to make it whole
There's nothing left for me in this void
I feel I've reached the end and now my will is devoid

Would you come with me to paradise?
I can help you pay the price
Give my own to make your life worth more
I'll build a bridge to lead you to the door
If you don't follow, I'll wait for you
There's nothing I wouldn't do
I'll never wander too far away
I'll always be with you, whatever comes, there's a way

Great job. You have a very decent mastery of the English language. Great rhyme. And a beautiful theme. Keep it up.

God, D.... I'm crying. With your soul, for your sanity. Know that I love you with all my being, and that if I could be closer to you now, I would leap the bounds and jump to you. I am always with you. And your always in my thoughts. I know you can get through this, your so much stronger than me.

And by the way, a beautiful poem, and I, too, love the images.

Jaime
