prayer

I’m surrounded by these prison walls, wishing I could stand tall
When all I can do is curl up and cry, pathetic, barely alive
And I’ve pushed through so many barriers that scar me; no matter how hard I try
And I’m tired of carrying all this weight that cuts me inside

See, you must have forgotten my heart on this factory line
Of slaves offering their lives to serve you, but *****, you’re not taking mine
All these perfect faces made just to look at you, just to smile
***** the world, annihilate me, I want each and every one of you to die

I’m burning holes into this patchwork mess they call my skin
Trying to melt the mould, change my shape, let me fit in
But I hate you all, I hate this, I hate you, I hate me
And I wish so much I could burn away all the hate inside me

If I could just open your eyes for a second, before you died
And smile at you, as I hold the gun between your eyes
And watch those pretty tears fall down your pretty face, from your pretty lies
As I pull the trigger, yeah God, this is to you
And I’m your one and only real child

Lots of anger in this one. I read it a couple of times and you know I have had some of these thoughts. Writing is a great way to vent. I look forward to your next submission. Kie

the anger in this was amazing and unsettling, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I loved the first stanza the best I've been there before many times. I hope to hear from you soon I miss you... Keep up the writing I love it.

Peace,
Joel (Bobo)
