She sat on the rock watched the blue sky turning red
Then counted the birds fly by;
She yelled at them happily and counted the stars,
While the sky turned dark from red
She slept dreaming the singing cherubs
And she was one among them.
The snow was melted when it was dawn
And there was fragrance of Jasmine flowers
Near that rock blue flowers smiled at her;
River beside the rock sang songs for her.
She talked to them about her dreams and future,
And they listened to her silently.
And now it's me thinking about that rock,about that sky,
About those birds and flowers
And wondering about that small girl,
How and where she lost herself!

This was beautiful and the ending was sad. So often I long to go back to my childhood and chase butterflies again. Somewhere along the way we all lose ourselves I think. I really loved this poem, you have alot of talent and I am in awe. Kie |
