Empty bottle at my side,
Self-contained rules, easily defied.
Stomach burning, throat on fire,
The strength of mind, I must acquire.
Remembrance of my tranquil soul,
Redefining my eternal toll.
Dregs of liquid blur my eyes,
Surrendering to an early demise.

| this was short, but powerful (i'm copyin from above) but they way you wrote it almost seems desperate, because of its quick flow, its like, bang bang bang bang, which kinda makes the poem all that more powerful and sad |
