That everyone desires a life of peace,
I'm sure is no surprising revelation.
Trials and troubles so common to man,
fill us with great exasperation.
But, consider this when measuring results:
what effect it has on your person.
Do problems and strife, or peace and ease,
cause your character to improve or worsen?
On this one thing the scripture is clear,
as is also, the change in one's conscience.
The wisdom of God in a sigh and a tear.
For the Christian, tribulation works patience.

This is so good. It took me years to see this. Tough years. I often wish I weren't so stupid and could see God's plan more quickly so I wouldn't have to suffer so much. LOL!
