Divorced from sins

Contributed by uchendu on Sunday, 22nd February 2004 @ 01:47:03 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I was pressed on all sides by troubles
I was down-knocked and my life stopped going
I was crushed and broken down all along
I am transformed now into a vessel of honour
I am fully separated and divorced from sins

CHORUS
Now I am divorced
From the lusts of the flesh
From the lusts of the eyes
From the pride of ill living
Now I am believing

Then my heart seethed with anger
When I failed to destroy my sins
But that season of my life is gone
When I created my heart illness
Then when I was glued to my flesh

CHORUS
The Lord is now my shepherd
I shall not want any lusts
I shall not want vain pride
The Lord is now my shepherd
I shall live by His sacred word

When my life caused others to die
When I harmed my body and my soul
Then I couldn’t let light shine away my darkness
Cause I was in passionate marriage with sins
But I am glad all that have gone down behind me

Oh, I like this! I like this a lot! It honestly expresses the freedom one feels when the bonds are finally broken!

This was really well written. I loved it. It is a beautiful letter to the world the tells of God's changing powers.
Take care.
