A Lover's Moment

It's that brief moment when you hold me,
Standing, skin to skin,
When as inaudible seconds pass,
I don't know where I end, and you begin.
Holding me to you heart
In passion's soft embrace,
Never once wondering
If it was love written, oh so gently, on your face.
Running your fingers
Softly through my hair,
Looking through the exterior of myself,
To the passion of my soul that is there.
Breathing troubled for a moment,
Then stepping back, releasing what is mine,
I let you go about your day,
Our souls always innertwined.
