The lonely poet

Contributed by twinkle on Saturday, 21st February 2004 @ 12:55:52 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

It was a beautiful place, where I sat and wrote poems,
Nature in it's heights, it is the Valley of sorrow.
Abutting was the Happy valley, excels by it's own beauty
All smiling faces, lovers go there to see the sunset
It's their parting time, they come back with a gloomy face
All look dreary even if they meet in the next morning
I sit on my favorite rock thinking about my future
With my pen and mind running through the grieving past
I've never gone to Happy valley untill he came to my life,
Together we enjoyed the smell of earth after the first rain.
I heard the songs of birds and forgot all other things
When we walked through the Happy valley hand in hand.
I heard the song of love in his words, which I've not heard before
I saw an ocean of love in his eyes, which I've not seen before.
And there was the magic of love in his touch,
I realized this is the one and only man I was waiting for.
It hurt when his cheek rubbed against mine, since he did not shave
But the pain was so sweet that I could never forget
I thought nothing will separate us and the love never dies
A moment I doubted whether it's a dream or not;
And when I realized it was not, he was gone forever;
Leaving those sweet memories behind him.
Then I found me on the way to Sorrow valley
Still feeling that sweet pain on my cheek, I took my pen again...

This was sad, you expressed it well.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
