Angel's Storm

Contributed by Lainda on Friday, 20th February 2004 @ 05:10:47 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Angel’s Storm

Thrashed upon the treacherous sea
Poseidon exhausts his raging fury
White-whipped ominous waves
Hurls the hopeless vessel to its grave

Pandora’s Box’s Hope expelling
Rags clutch to the scraggy being
Blistered, pruned hands forsake
Salt-soaked eyelids willingly flake

Melodious chorus engulfs the senses
Beams of pure golden light dispenses
Ensnared within the gossamer web of song
A lone mind encased in the labyrinth throng

The heavenly echoes awaken restless souls
Imprisons weariness, throbbing aches and it dulls
Feeling weightless as down-feather clouds
Drift in absolute bliss as the fog enshrouds

Sunbeams glare through flimsy eyelids
The venture ending on a desolate island
Expanse of cerulean, where once clouds porous
Voices still resounding of your savior, the angel’s chorus

After your comment on my poem 'Raptured Dreams' i just had to look at your work, and i must say i am so glad i did because this is unimaginable, i was beginning to feel just a little to wordy during the middle stanzas but then it just flew away and reached an amazing level of brilliance that i could only dream touching.

Truely a timeless piece that will be never be forgotten through the ages

Luke
