Mine for a season…

Contributed by Kristina_Simpson_Stewart on Friday, 20th February 2004 @ 12:31:08 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

If only for a second, Or two or three…
You were our precious gift
that God gave to daddy and me.
It was over far too soon and all of our joy it seems
And all the plans we made, Are but fading dreams.
Words cannot say the pain that I feel
This very day, all I can do now is pray
And wait for GOD to heal.
your tender cheek will never be kissed
Oh how you are missed!
But by faith I trust in God for he alone knows why
And because I have him, I know I will get by
He fills this empty hole, He comforts with such love
This emptiness in my soul,
For I know that you are with him,
In heaven up above.
You were only ours for a season:
Although it hurts so deeply
I know God had a reason.
