My Saviours

Topic: InspirationalPoems

The darkness comes near,
Near to my heart.
It is filled with smoke,
And i cannot see.
That is, except one,
One person i care for.
And, she is blocking the way,
The way to Hell.
She won't let me go there,
She had forbidden it.
But yet, he calls me,
Dismissing her refusals.
What should i do?
I know i should stay,
But he calls so loud.
Is there any release?
Any way to leave?
The answer is no,
There is no leaving.
For this temptation is in my heart
It affects us all,
Even my love,
The one who blocks my path.
But, i now see,
She isn't alone.
She has a force with her,
A force so divine,
So powerful and good.
I know that force,
I follow him everyday.
It is God who is with her,
God who also blocks the way.
I now know,
Know what i need to do.
I need to repent here and now,
And follow him again.
Follow him into the light,
And teach others to do the same.
That is my new destiny.
And one i will take to heart.
I am going to learn,
Learn, then teach.
I will show others His words,
And the truth.
For those who hate me,
Hate, for doing this.
I care not, for He is here.
He, my father,
The one who has never left.
He has shown me the way.
I now have a purpose i see
And that is to spread
Spread his word throughout,
Teach it to all
And discuss with those who know
When i return to him,
When my mission is done,
Then i will have the right,
The right to be near
I must leave,
Leave to spread.
But only on this final note.
Live life to the fullest,
Don't give in.
My blocker was my love,
My love, and my Saviour.
Two different people.
Yet, they worked together,
So i wouldn't be lost.

Lovely write Arminius,

I had to read it twice to fully get it, but that's my problem! I like this one very much indeed!

With love
Dean:-)

I really like this. It made me think and consider how I've been treating my faith.. It was truly a wonderful and touching write.
