Bound

Contributed by Kilikina on Thursday, 19th February 2004 @ 10:07:12 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Is there anything that can possibly fill this hole?
Is there nothing that can soothe my troubled soul?
Why must it be so tormented, torn, abused,
Why must I feel so lost, disillusioned, and confused?
Is there something I can learn from this?
Is there a lesson from broken emptiness?
If there is, I don’t want to be taught –
Not at the expense of having my soul left to rot.
My head is spinning, my heart is heavy,
I fear there’s nothing that can save me.
I sigh again and trudge slowly on,
Trying to convince myself the pain is gone,
And it might fade, but it never leaves,
So I see no reason to believe.
Tears will form, but they’ll never show –
What you can’t see you shall not know.
Don’t ask what’s wrong, I will not tell –
Cuz pain this great cannot be helped.
The road ahead gets worse and worse,
So forever I’m bound by this vile curse.

Kilikina~

Your words are beautiful in their simplicity.
I am reminded of a lesson I have recently learned: It is better to feel pain, to grieve a broken heart, then to feel nothing at all.

i am very moved by ur despair. your poem made me feel ur torment. i know the feeling all to well. i have learned so far that you cant neccessarily get rid of pain, but learn to live your life happily regardless. there is always something to find that will make things turn for the better, even if you with that scar.
